Materials Frequently Asked Questions Do you only have steel siding products, or do you offer others?
We have not only classic rib siding (which is standard in all proposals unless otherwise specified), but other variations of siding profiles. If you would like steel siding, but not necessarily classic rib, please contact us!
If you would like another siding option, we offer vinyl or satinwood siding and hardie plank. Please note, hardie plank requires a substrate material to attach the plank board to. Hardie plank has a distinct advantage: it can be painted any color! This is the Ohana Steel Buildings barn in Haiku, Maui. We have put Hardie plank on our barn, and has just been painted!
Do I have to paint my steel siding or roofing? Because our steel products are powder coated, the steel is protected from exposures of moisture, salt from weather cycles will not need painted or repaired. Certain steel siding and roofing products have a warranty.
What if I have to get up on my roof, will that be a problem? Your roofing and siding products are under manufacturer’s warrantee. There should be no reason for repairs or maintenance. If there is any damage, discoloring, etc. to your roofing products, the manufacturer will replace or repair*. There are several limitations on warranties from the manufacturer, including no warranty on any items for jobsites within 2 miles of the ocean. (*Depending on the manufacturer, product and several other factors.)
What if I need replacement parts to an existing structure? Do you sell materials alone? Yes! All materials are offered individually, and are priced delivered to your US jobsite. If you are buying materials for a roof, our suppliers can engineer your roof specific to your layout, with precise materials delivered.
Where do your materials come from? Our suppliers are on the mainland USA. Your quote includes all shipping costs to your jobsite.
Does the steel come in colors? Yes, there are about a dozen colors to choose from for steel roofing and siding.
