Ohanas (aka, the Mother-in-law Suite)

Ohanas are small buildings on residential property designed to provide adequate living space for renters while offsetting the great cost of real estate in Hawaii.  Building an ohana on your property, in accordance with County Code and Neighborhood CC&R's (if applicable), is a lot easier than you may think.

Please keep in mind, your ohana size and allowance depends on your local CC&R's AND local county code.
